Lions Protect Their Future Take QB W/ 1st Pick in our 2023 NFL Mock Draft.
With the 6th pick of the 1st rd. I have the Lions selecting QB Anthony Richardson from the University of Florida .
Many may not understand the logic in this. As you can see received a low-grade for this 1st pick . I feel the Lions won’t be picking in the top 10 next year so they select the quarterback with the highest ceiling to sit behind Goff for a year. Getting Christian Gonzalez @#18 would be a steal at this point of the 1st rd .
Following that up with 2 more 2nd picks , getting an extra pick from the Hockenson trade . The Lions plug 2 holes selecting DT Mazi Smith & underrated LB Daiyan Henley out of Washington state . I have them added depth to positions of need, drafting another defensive tackle, and another underrated linebacker with good sideline speed out of Alabama . I also believe this would give the Lions A grade in this draft.
