Slay can be 3rd Ex Lions to win a Super Bowl in a row

Darius slay could be a three-peat of  Ex Lions players, to win a Super Bowl  if Philadelphia can beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

In recent years, two former Detroit Lions players have captured Super Bowl victories with their new teams. The first was Ndamukong Suh, who helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shut down the high-scoring Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV(2021). Suh was a key player in the game, recording 1.5 sacks of the Buccaneers' three sacks.

The following year(2022), it was Matthew Stafford's turn to lift the Lombardi Trophy. In his first season with the Los Angeles Rams, the veteran quarterback led his team to Super Bowl LVI and secured the championship with a narrow victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Now, Darius Slay has a chance to continue this streak of ex-Lions winning Super Bowls on their new teams. Slay is a starting cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles.

If the Eagles are able to win the Super Bowl, it would be the third year in a row that a former Detroit Lions player has won the championship with their new team.

It's worth noting that Suh is also a member of the Eagles this season, and would be a two-time Super Bowl champion. If Slay is able to join him as a champion, it would be a remarkable feat for both players and a testament to the talent that has come through the Lions organization over the years.
